Rank
Ranks: The ranking system starts from D and goes up to X, with multiple ranks in between such as D+, C, C+, B, B+, A, A+, and X.
MMR: To rank up, players need to earn a certain amount of MMR (Matchmaking Rating) points. For example, to go from D to D+, players need to earn 250 MMR points.
MMR Requirements: The MMR requirements increase as players progress through the ranks. For example, to go from C+ to B, players need to earn 2500 MMR points.
X Rank: The highest rank is X, and it is designated for the top 12 players in the game.
MMR Points: The amount of MMR points that players can earn depends on the quality of the match and the outcome. For example, if a 5000 rating player beats a 500 rating player, they will only earn 50 MMR points. However, if the 500 rating player beats the 5000 rating player, they will earn 400 MMR points as an underdog.
MMR Equilibrium: The MMR points gained or lost during a match is equivalent. For example, if a player gains 400 MMR points, the opposing player will lose 400 MMR points.
Scaling: The amount of MMR points earned or lost is scaled depending on the difference in rating between the players. The closer the rating, the more balanced the match, resulting in an equilibrium of 200 MMR points.
FAQs:
Q: What are the ranks in the game and how do they work? A: The ranks in the game go from D to X, with each rank having sub-ranks (e.g. -C,C,C+). To rank up, you need to earn a certain amount of MMR (Matchmaking Rating), which varies depending on the rank.
Q: How much MMR do I need to rank up? A: The amount of MMR needed to rank up varies depending on the rank. For example, to rank up from D to D+, you need 200 MMR, while A+ have a cap of MMR that is 12,000.
Q: How do I earn MMR? A: You can earn MMR by playing matches in the game’s ranked mode. The amount of MMR you earn or lose depends on the quality of the match and the outcome.
Q: How much MMR can I earn or lose in a match? A: The amount of MMR you can earn or lose in a match depends on the difference in MMR between you and your opponent. If you beat an opponent with a much higher MMR than yours, you will earn more MMR than if you beat an opponent with a much lower MMR. Similarly, if you lose to an opponent with a much lower MMR than yours, you will lose more MMR than if you lose to an opponent with a much higher MMR.
Q: How does the ranking system work for top players? A: The X rank is reserved for the top 100 players in the game, and it is not possible to rank up further from there. The X Rank might turn to something that will be changed on a daily basis considering how well are the players performing.
Q: Can I lose ranks if I lose matches? A: Yes, if you lose matches in the game’s ranked mode, you will lose MMR and may end up losing ranks if your MMR drops below the threshold for your current rank.
