Hello there, everyone! We’ll discuss Total War WARHAMMER III Faction Strengths & Weaknesses today, and in this Total War WARHAMMER III Faction Strengths & Weaknesses, we’ll go through a list of basic strengths and weaknesses of the faction you want to play in multiplayer, or the one your opponent chooses.

This Total War WARHAMMER III Faction Strengths & Weaknesses Guide focuses on the Domination mode of Total War WARHAMMER III and does not cover the Campaign. This is a work-in-progress project, I’ll be adding strategies or changing/adding some basic aspects in the near future. Beastmen – Unit Count 50

STRENGHTS

  • High Speed
  • Amazing Rush Faction
  • Strong Monsters
  • Good Cavalry
  • No Forest Penalty

WEAKNESSES

  • Lowish Leadershiep
  • Lack Ranged
  • Lack of Armour

Bretonia
Unit Count: 45

STRENGTHS

  • Lots of Cavalry
  • Great Lords (Fay, Louen)
  • cheap Infantry
  • some Air Superiority

WEAKNESSES

  • Peasants have low leadership
  • Micro Intensive
    Infantry

Cathay – Unit Count: 26

STRENGHTS

  • Harmony
  • Great Range/Defensive Options

WEAKNESSES

  • small roster
    -some fragile flyers
    -Close formations can be abused

Daemons (not available in ranked) – Unit Count: 70+

STRENGTHS
– Very Powerful Monsters
– Very Large and Versatile Roster
– Lots of Lore of Magic Choices

WEAKNESSES
– You probably won’t ever play this faction in multiplayer
– Not the best Ranged options

Dark Elves – Unit Count: 62

STRENGTHS
-Powerful Damage and Range
-Variety in Units and Monsters
-Nice Flanking options

WEAKNESSES
-Expensive
-lack Endurance

Dwarfs – Unit Count: 48

STRENGTHS
-Very Cost-Effective
-High amount of Armor
-High Leadership
-magic resistance

WEAKNESSES
-Predictable Playstyle/Can be easily abused
-No real Cavalry
-Slow Units

the Empire – Unit Count: 59

STRENGTHS
-Good Lord Options
-Very Versatile Roster and Playstyle
-lots of spellcasting options
-Funny Artillery

WEAKNESSES
-Master of Nothing
-No real Monsters except Karl Franz

Greenskins – Unit Count: 65

STRENGTHS
-Cheap Units
-Great Skirmishers
-Flexible
-Numbers

WEAKNESSES
-lack of flying units and good heavy cavalry
-Mediocre ranged units
High Elves
Unit Count: 69 nice

STRENGHTS
-Powerful Spellcasters
-Rather Flexible
-One of the best Ranged Units
-Dragons

WEAKNESSES
-Expensive
-Struggle against Rush

Khorne – Unit Count: 23

STRENGTHS
-Very Strong Melee Units
-Expensive Units
-Good Resistances and options between physical and magical damage
-Great Monsters
-Cultist of Khorne is great for summoning Bloodletters

-Almost no Ranged Options
-No Magic
-Small Roster

Kislev – Unit Count: 28

STRENGTHS
-Hybrid Units
-Lots of Ranged
-Bears

WEAKNESSES
-Roster could be bigger
-No Great Magic tbh

Lizardmen – Unit Count: 71

STRENGTHS
-Great Monsters
-Many Playstyles
-Amazing Legendary Lords
-Huge Roster
-Endurance and Healing

WEAKNESSES
-Lack a bit in Long Range and Skirmish Cav
-Rampage on many units
-somewhat Expensive

Norsca – Unit Count: 42

STRENGTHS
-Great Rush Faction
-Good Monstrous Units
-Much Speed

WEAKNESSES
-3 Lord Options
-Predictable and Limited Playstyle
-Tiny Roster

Nurgle – Unit Count: 22

STRENGTHS
– Poison Damage
– Extremely Tanky
– strong but limited lore of magic

WEAKNESSES
– Quite Slow
– little to no ranged options
– lots of large hitboxes

Ogre Kingdoms – Unit Count: 32

STRENGTHS
-Suprising good Ranged Options
-Great Mass

WEAKNESSES
-Expensive
-Weak to Ranged
-Anti-Large will hurt them
-No Flying Units

Skaven – Unit Count: 68

STRENGTHS
-Nasty Ranged Units
-Huge Roster
-Wide range of monsters
-Massive Numbers

WEAKNESSES
-Low Leadership
-Lack Flying

Slaanesh – Unit Count: 25

STRENGTHS
-Very Fast
-High Damage
-Sexy Chariots

WEAKNESSES
-Micro Intensive
-Small Roster
-barely any armor
-Will cease to exist upon being shot

Tomb Kings – Unit Count: 40

STRENGTHS
-Great Constructs
-Nice Ranged
-Some good Cavalry
-Crumble

WEAKNESSES
-few Frontline Options
-Lack Good Flying
-Low Leadership

Tzeentch – Unit Count: 22

STRENGTHS
-Barriers
-Lots of Flying Units
-Cavalry and Flamers are Remarkable
-Good Magic

WEAKNESSES
-Smallest Roster in the game with more then a third of it being spellcasters
-Mostly Terrible Infantry, Need to rely on Forsaken or Chaos Spawn
-Will cease to exist in Melee
-lack Anti-large

Vampire Coast – Unit Count: 49

STRENGTHS
-Powerful and also Cheap Range
-Very good Lords
-Cheap Onion Units which crumble

WEAKNESSES
-Roster has lot of weak units
-Predictable
-Slow

Vampire Count – Unit Count: 50

STRENGTHS
-Powerful Healing
-Crumbling
-Cool Magic

WEAKNESSES
-No Ranged Options
-Slow and Predictable
-Lack anti large

Warriors of Chaos – Unit Count: 47

-Few but great Legendary Lords
-Great Rush Faction
-Elite Infantry
